Privacy Policy
The plain-English version first: we collect your email address when you ask for our guide or newsletter, we use it to send you what you asked for, and we never sell it. The longer version follows.
What we collect
- Information you give us: your email address when you sign up, and anything you choose to include if you email us.
- Technical information collected automatically: when you submit a form we record the time, the page the signup came from, and your browser’s user-agent string. Our hosting provider (Vercel) keeps standard server logs, which may include IP addresses.
- Cookies and pixels: we may use analytics tools and advertising pixels (such as the Meta pixel) to understand how people find us and to measure our advertising. These may set cookies or collect device information. You can limit ad tracking through your browser settings and the ad-preference tools of the relevant platforms.
How we use it
- To deliver the guide or newsletter you requested.
- To send our email letter, which you can leave anytime — every email includes an unsubscribe link that works on the first click.
- To understand what content is useful and improve what we publish.
- To measure and improve our advertising.
Who we share it with
Service providers who help us operate: our email platform (to store our list and send the letter), our hosting provider, and analytics or advertising platforms as described above. These providers process data on our behalf under their own privacy commitments. We do not sell your email address or share it with anyone for their own marketing. Some articles and emails may contain affiliate links — clicking one shares nothing about you from us beyond the click itself (see our disclosure page).
Retention and your choices
We keep your email address until you unsubscribe or ask us to delete it. To unsubscribe, use the link in any email. To request deletion of your data — or a copy of what we hold — email hello@maggiescheckup.com and we’ll handle it within 30 days. California residents and residents of other states with privacy laws may have additional rights, including the right to know, delete, and opt out of the sale or sharing of personal information; we honor these requests for everyone, resident or not.
A few more things
- This site is intended for adults in the United States and is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect information from children.
- Our content is educational information, not medical advice. Nothing you submit to us creates a provider–patient relationship.
- If we change this policy, we’ll update the effective date at the top of this page. Material changes will be noted in our email letter.
